I believe it was about cricket trashtalking on the internet, and I was going to say something about sledging - the special word for cricket trashtalking on the pitch! Or field? Green? I've obviously learned only the important terminology. Viv Richards, in the icon used for the post, used to approach cricket like a battle and if you tried sledging him, he would get so fired up that he was unstoppable so captains would tell their team to always be very polite to Viv!
Ahhh, I've been thinking of studying overseas again because I miss it! I probably wouldn't want to move to another country, but I'd so love to be able to spend an extended time in one again. I kind of really really want to go to Sweden, actually. I should start trying to learn Swedish or something. I think mapcrunching around Scandinavia brought it on... Anyway, you taught overseas before? Where did you go?
I've been missing LJ lately!! Trying to meet other people in hockey fandom via tumblr is exhausting. If there was an LJ community where I could just leave comments and respond to other people's comments, it'd be so much easier. I'm getting more bold about just up and sending messages, although you kind of can only do that if they give you something to message them about... I don't know! The sexism and stuff makes me less motivated to get Katie into it, too, so I don't have anyone in person to really share (although she'll humor me for a little).
And my next new roommate is also working out well so far, haha! She's pretty chill and in her room most of the time and doesn't cook (YAAAAY) and sometimes works nights and I barely see her.
