Happy birthday, Lincoln! And Darwin!
Feb. 12th, 2009 07:14 pmLately i've just been fangirling comic books and comic book creators ALL THE TIME. I've been slightly embarrassed to write about details, which I'm sure you're all thankful for. I will say that introducing
ayamachi to some of the ins and outs of the Fourth World really brought home to me how awesome Jack Kirby is, because no one's ever been a creeper for admiring the King. (Also it makes me super happy to have a friend who can appreciate the Hellboy art with me!) I've also been seizing every opportunity to indulge my love of pro/fan trivia contests. And I've been rereading New Frontier, which is even better than I remember - luckily I'm going home this weekend so I can watch the movie again, which I've been wanting to do.
My arm/shoulder pain crisis thing is getting better. . . slowly. I'm meeting a potential roommate tomorrow, so tonight I need to be in good enough shape to straighten things up a bit. Also eat. I have been so lazy about feeding myself. On Tuesday I had two eggs, scrambled, and a stalk of broccoli.
I've learned that mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner has the support of the modeling industry, which caused me to say "Models for Weiner" to my boss today. I am thus delighted with the world. :D (I later said it on purpose to my co-workers.)
