Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay I had a really good time last night. And in fact, I think i'm still slightly tipsy? It could just be tiredness, though. I went to bed after 3:30 and woke up before 8:30. And then did computer science for an hour and a half!

slight sadditude )

ANYWAY. Last night was senior banquet, which is a Smith tradition in which each house has a party for the graduating seniors who live in the house. Or people who have moved out but lived in the house for 2+ years. The seniors get to order food from restaurants (everyone else gets pizza) and there are skits in which the first years act out funny incidents involving the seniors and stuff like that, and this year we did prophesies - where people will be in 5-10 years, and then seniors will their shit to underclassmen. Except I'm a packrat and am always like "Ahh, I bet I could use this!" But I did find stuff to give to the handful of people I wanted to give things to. Although there was one girl that I kind of forgot about that I think is sweet, but I don't see her very often so it's excusable.

about the skits. well, about my skit. :D )

After senior banquet I talked with friendandformerroommate!Corey about deep, sad things. But it was good to talk about - obviously stuff like that has been on my mind. But we also talked about future plans to become rich by writing casually retold stories from serious religious sources. She's going to do saints, I'm going to bible and rabbis. I ended up walking back to her apartment with her.

When I got back, awesome lovely friend!Steph WATCHED HANA YORI DANGO WITH ME!! But it doesn't get really charming til the third episode so I'm hoping I can at least keep her interested that long. ^_^ In the meantime, I'm cracking up at Jun cos he's hilarious and ridiculous. And I love Oguri Shun (or should I say "papa shun"!) much more now than when I last saw it, even though I still don't think he looks that good in it. Of course, my heart belongs to Akira.

Then Steph and I watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother and then we talked and talked and drank and drank and talked and drank. :D ALTHOUGH I got back to my room at 3 and went to the bathroom and there was this freaky dark purple ring around the inside of my lips and even on my front teeth, I can only assume from the red wine I was drinking. Which Steph did not mention to me. XD

sentiment might take over? )

I probably need to go back to sleep except I feel strangely energetic. Most of the coding for my site is worked out. I'm still questioning my design choices, but. . . meh. This weekend I need to try and write my 5 page paper for my rabbinic class, need to definitely write my 1-2 page reaction paper for my history class, finish up the coding, and maybe try to work on my 7 minute presentation (well, my part would be 7 minutes or so. It's 15 total.) for my rabbinic literature class. ::sigh:: It sucks cos after senior banquet and the festivities I'm really ready for relaxing and senior week and good times. . . but I still have oodles of finishing up to do. Not too bad, certainly, as long as I can motivate myself to do them.

Tonight I'm going to a bedtime stories event where professors read to us. :D And tomorrow is Senior Ball! My first ball - actually, I didn't even go to prom. I'm not sure what to wear because my nicer dress isn't at all summery, so I'm undecided. Once again, Steph is going to help me out.

Ah! Steph and I also invented the word "shmoogle," used for men's backs, especially in a positive connotation. As in, "oooh, he's got a nice shmoogle." Or "What do you think of that shmoogle?" Or "I like a nice, muscular shmoogle." It needed a word, right? It's one of the only parts of the body that I prefer the male version to the female version.

EDIT: Watching new subbed MuchaBuri - I've said this before, I fucking love Hina. Also, I always forget how ridiculously hot Ryo is. But the real reason I made this edit: Why is EVERYTHING "very popular with young ladies"?? XD Even food is supposed to be popular with young women! Young women in Japan appear to 1) be into loads of different really random fads and 2) be a major, major market force. (Although it makes sense that idol shows would feature things young women like, but there's just so freaking many things that they're supposed to be into!)
