OH HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! I'm seriously excited! And slightly in disbelief! AAAAHH!

Smith grades aren't officially up til tomorrow, but apparently you can search for "transcript" in Bannerweb and get them before everything is fully processed! I have to assume they aren't going to go into the system and change mine before tomorrow, which means. . .

I got straights As this semester. A- in canoeing, A in all four academic classes. Which includes my seminar. And my math class. And the class I almost took pass/fail, and the class that was sort of like a seminar. My GPA for this semester was 3.98! And my overall GPA is 3.75, which also makes me happy.

Before this I've only gotten, like, one A each semester, and I usually get A-s. That looks silly. A minuses. Which I'm really happy with, but I've always felt sort of stuck working at that level, and I'm so excited that I was able to do so well this semester!! I think I worked really hard, and it was certainly really difficult and stressful - I definitely put more time into my classes than I have before. And of course, I'm a senior now and am wise in the ways of the world. :D

I am really, really happy. And now I have to make sure to stay motivated next semester, because I might be able to qualify for Latin Honors. Have I mentioned what I'm taking? American Pop Culture, a two-part course on the internet that I think will teach me to make websites or get me closer to being able to do so, a modern Japanese history course, and a course on rabbinic literature that I'm pretty excited about - it would have been more useful to have taken it earlier in my career, but. . . I guess I did ok without it! ::beams::

I also went to the DMV today to get my non-license ID, since I don't intend to drive. It was pretty painless, for the DMV. And I went to Target and found pretty cute red shoes, which is a relief! (Smith has a tradition called Ivy Day, where all the seniors walk around the campus in white dresses holding ivy plants. I got my white dress a few weeks ago. Lawrence House seniors also wear red shoes, so now I'm all set! Katie's going to lend me an ivy plant, she's got a monster one named Napoleon. Cos he's ready to take over Europe.)

Apart from that, all i did today was wake up way too early, although I was able to see Katie off to work, which is nice. She's been working for the past week to make up for not having a campus job, so I've been slumming around the house, learning the ins and outs of various video editing programs and taking oodles of screencaps (which can be seen in my scrapbook thingie, should you be interested) and messing around on youtube. I've also been experiencing periodic REAL LIFE AAAGH GRADUATING NOO stress, but I think that'll get better once I'm back at Smith and on my own, not ensconced at home with my parents taking care of me.

Anyway, yeah. There's been a lot of not getting dressed and sleeping odd hours. When I have nothing to do, I find it hard to motivate myself. But hey, I totally deserved the break, right? :D
