I have. . . free time!! I finished at the Sophian before 10:30. O_O IT'S AMAZING!! I'm like "This is what a night off feels like". Cos I didn't factor in having this free time, so I might not do work even though I have buttloads, because I need to just chillax even more. I will seize this opportunity to watch Fantastipo!
Sophian, by the way, is Smith's campus newspaper. I'm the layout editor, I write no articles. I write great headlines, though! My best moment was about a mural that got taken down because the sharpie marker lines could be seen through the paint: Sharpie Spells Death for Mural. The author of the article actually got compliments on it (which she did credit to me, lest you think she's stealing the glory). Anyway, layout. ::sigh:: Layout has to be done last. And it has to be done after ALL the articles for the section are in, you can't layout the three articles you have now and add the other 4 when they come in, it all has to be done at a pop. And, in fact, articles are very often in late. It's been making Corey and I crazy and we just keep getting sort of crazier and crazier towards the editors and almost all of them sort of got their shit together this week. Usually I work from 8:30-10:30 Monday nights, but often everything I do then has to be redone cos of a late article, so it's pointless. And then on a good night, I work 7-12 on Tuesdays. A bad night, til 1. But tonight. . . I left at 10:30!! I would be pretty pumped about leaving at 11:30, to be frank. 10:30 is super-exciting.
The other day I thought I heard an alarm clock going off really close to my room, and I realized it was the emergency phone in the hallway. It's a little like having a phone booth ring. Anyway, I picked it up and they just wanted a campus office, which was sort of disappointing.
( Kamasutra talk, cos I read it for class. Woo for Religious History in South Asia: Ancient to Medieval! )
I'm suddenly finding myself unable to do proofs by induction. Especially when applied to graphs. It's stressing me out! Anyone know how to prove that the sum of the degrees of the vertices equals twice the edges by induction? I'm supposed to prove it by the edges, does that mean E is k? And E+1 is when there's one more edge? Maybe there is. . . but then you need. . . 2 more degrees. Hmm. Hmmmmm. Anyway, my sudden inability to do my math homework is really getting me down.
A side note - I just wanted to say that sometimes it takes me a while to get back to comments, cos I suck at being busy. Really, I'm so bad at it. So sometimes it can take me a day or more to respond to a comment, depending on how much thought I want to put into it and stuff. And I don't want people thinking "Agh, I said thoughtful things and she's just blowing me off" (if people think that) cos often I will get back to you. So, yeah. And sometimes I'm fast. I just wasn't sure also if people got comment notification or not. So don't be weirded out if you get a late comment and you're like "what the hell was that post even about?" or something.
Also! hotmail has stopped working on this computer. The website, I don't know. It spazzes out. So I might have to switch my LJ email to gmail or something.
Speaking of LJ, someone that I wanted to unfriend already unfriended me. Score! Although actually, and amusingly, I'm a bit like "Hey, what'd I do?" XD
In other news. . . I have no other news. School is eating my brain. I'm getting burnt out and it's early on. Dammit. I need Taichi. I'm off to watch Fantastipo. And probably eat more ice cream. I didn't get the Ben & Jerry's with toasted marshmallows and now I feel like a fool, but whatever. Ice cream is ice cream.
Also, I was super-good yesterday: I did laundry! And I carried 14 books on Paul and his interpretation of the Law and election back from the library yesterday. ::cuddles Smith's Paul collection:: Thank you, Reverend Doctor Karl Paul Donfried!
Ah, just remembered! On a sex-related note, I was killing some time before dinner in the TV room the other day, and Stepford Wives was on. The new one. Oh man, that movie. That movie and me have a complicated relationship, for reals. I want a version where you can just watch the scenes with wives in them.
