herb growing
Jun. 8th, 2005 09:03 amhey kids--brief update from work, because I can't do anything until my boss gets here, and I have a question.
This morning, Katie and David and I sat for a bit in City Hall Park (small, but lovely--especially at 8 AM!). A rat ran in between Katie and my legs, but that's beside the point. We saw this guy and all these little plants in those little green square plastic pots. And all these people were gathered around, so we went over to investigate! He had too many plants, and was giving away the extras! He had sage, catnip, and fennel. Katie took a sage, and I took a fennel. Cos they're fuzzy. :D
But I'm pretty bad with plants, and don't really know anything about sage or fennel. I was doing a little research, but I thought I'd ask here if anyone had any advice on herb growing. I've got a bronze fennel. I don't know what variety of sage Katie has. Or if there are varieties. Is there any way I can keep it in my cubicle? Or, if it needs direct sunlight, on the table under the skylight? Can I grow it indoors? Can Katie grow her sage indoors?
Anyways, work has been exciting. I've been very busy the last couple days, which has been lovely, but now I've done pretty much everything I can without my boss. And he's very busy.
Vacation next two weeks, though!
I haven't heard from Corey in a while. :( I hope she's ok. Dad said I should give her a call, and that's a really good idea, so I might do that this evening.
I also hope that my shirt is on its way to me!
