Well. The white Christmas came a little late. It snowed all night yesterday. XD Nonetheless, my Christmas was lovely.

I woke up at 8:15, which was unfortunate because a) I'd been up until 2-ish, and b) we'd planned not to make everyone wake up until 10. But I was bubbling over with child-like Christmas excitement! It's nice. Even when I've gone to bed late, and even if we've planned to start late, I don't like to sleep in on Christmas. It's like I'm betraying myself.

Anyway. Luckily, Katie and I both got each other four little gifts, because our parents got us a couple things and then $150. But they did get me. . . Stargate SG-1 Season 5!! So we now have three full seasons. :D And a lot of season 2, but I think we're going to end up with the boxed set anyway. XD Katie and I celebrated my immediately (well, after we'd finished opening everything) watching Wormhole X-Treme! Yay! And the commentary. Absolutely hilarious! ::bounces:: Parents also got me, ironically, a gift from the store Faces, which is in Northampton (as is Smith, where I go to college, if anyone is lost at this point). They got it when they were visiting me. And, oh. It rocks. It's a lamp in the shape of a pig. And it's awesome! I don't even know how to describe it. Cos I don't know the name of the material it's made of. Oh well. It's perfectly round, and pink, with little round feet and ears and snout and eyes (only the feet are perfect spheres, btw) and it glows from the inside! I can't wait to get it up to my room at school! Although I've no clue where to put it. . .

Also for my room, I got little gel stars from Katie, that I stick to my window. Katie also got me a Robin ornament that I'm planning to hide somewhere and. . . a little Kubrix Batmobile! With Robin, and Timmy, and Timmy's bo staff, and some sort of batarang, and a grappling hook! We put it together :) It is awesome!! But we must glue on Timmy's hair.

And Katie got me Peter Pan illustrated by Charles Vess!!!!! EEEEEEE!! This means I now have three copies, and is a legitimate excuse to start collection editions! :D Yay!! Plus. . . Peter Pan illustrated by Charles Vess! Oh, the rocking! I must say, though. His Peter looks bizarrely. . . old. . .

And I got Will Eisner's "Fagin the Jew" from David, and Katie and I both got, from him, a Strongbad CD! XD Hilarity ensued.

I got David a pen-holder made out of a record that was bent into exciting shapes, and a deck of rock 'n' roll trivia cards, which we've already almost worked our way through. He did very well.

And I got Katie a ball of pretty yarn, and an angsty rat plush (Yuki from Fruits Basket) and the next Fruits Basket manga, and two sacks of Haribo candy! Rainbow frogs and burgers.

At Christmas dinner, I actually ate everything that I took. Usually at family gatherings, I can't help myself and take way too much. But not so today! I ate everything on my plate, and took seconds of Yorkshire pudding! Maybe even thirds. I don't get Yorkshire pudding enough.

And then we went for a walk in the town, because they put up all these little decorated huts. . . it's hard to describe, but we do it every year.

Good times. Lovely Christmas day. I didn't spend the whole time napping XD But I missed Mike's Brett Favre DVD cos I was sitting in the chair right next to the TV. So I'm going to have to watch it on my own. What? I like football. . . when it is condensed to film form ;) Watching an actual game just drives me crazy. "now the clock is running! now the clock is stopped! What the hell???" I spend a lot of time watching the clock because I'm usually waiting for the game to be over so I can use the TV ;)

Yesterday, we watched Return of the King! We didn't get the extended edition, but we're going to today. David had it, however. Ohhh. So much rocking. ::squees:: ::dies:: So that was awesome.

And then, we downloaded ScummVM and played Monkey Island 3 on Katie's computer!!!! WOOOOO! Now, we can buy it for ourselves! And play it whenever we want! I love ScummVM! We'd just gotten backstage at 'Speare! If anyone knows what that means ;)

My title refers to Murray the talking skull from Monkey 3, and what Martin calls Teal'c in Wormhole X-Treme!

Today, we are going to the mall. Because we didn't get enough stuff. . . >.> Well, I need to buy the latest issue of Sci-Fi magazine!
