yay good things!!

I just had a great little phone conversation with Dad, who called to see how Katie is doing. She stayed home from school today. Partly sick, partly tired from staying up too late watching the Oscars. XD And physics was canceled, something I'm actually really relieved about, because it meant I could go home ninth period. Which meant that I picked up the phone, so Dad was confused, he was wondering why I was home, and I told him that I was cutting. And he was like "what???" XD hehehehe. And I was all cheerful, cos I had a really good day, for the most part, which I got to tell him about. Unfortunately waking Katie in the process ::winces:: Sorry, Katie!

And I thoroughly enjoyed the Oscars yesterday! :D Wow! Awesome. Me and Katie were all in raptures. So excited ^_^

And--serious awesome-ness! Billy Crystal thanked Long Island!! XD way too cool. lol. Well, he was joking. But it still rocks my socks! I knew there was a reason I liked him! (and I knew that that reason was that he was in The Princess Bride, but he's gotten even more Laura-points) Me and Katie were really excited. Cos the LotR people had just thanked the fans, and then Mr. Crystal thanked LI, so we got thanked twice! XD So special.

And I had a pretty successful National Self-Injury Awareness Day. I definitely raised awareness in my school. I printed out a whole bunch of copies of this, only slightly modified and with this address on the bottom, and gave them to people in my classes, and left a whole bunch of them in the music office (where I'd written "March 1 is Self-Injury Awareness Day"--the choir director didn't realize that this was real, but I set him straight), and! In English, we were kind of having some off-topic discussions, about The Passion of the Christ, and whatever, and I know my English teacher is cool, so I asked her if I could share something with the class that I thought was important, and I told them about NSIAD, and wrote the address on the blackboard (I don't know if anyone copied it down, but I did my best), and as an added bonus, the teacher was really pleased and thanked me :D Yay!

Ironically, I was given the worst time eighth period with my friends. It was kind of funny, cos Khali was like "I already know about it--I saw the thing in Health", and that's actually mentioned in the essay as a horrible source of information, so I was able to show him that he did actually need more information.

He was kind of an ass to me, though. Unrelated to any of this, he was being mean. So i figured I'd just leave--I was going to leave the next period anyway. And he seemed to want me to stay, which is nice. He's mean to everyone, but he was being particularly mean, so XP

And I have a sketchbook grace week! yay!!! :D

Also, I had a great time at Bethpage yesterday--first day back for me, second day of the new season. It's really lovely there. I was alone at Benjamin house in the morning, and in the afternoon I was joined by Jessica, who kept the door shut. And the Benjamin door don't work so good, so we basically were able to pretend we weren't there all afternoon XD Which was a riot. And she got bored, and decided the house needed cleaning, so we dusted some of the rooms. That was fun, cos we kind of got to explore the artifacts (shhh!). It was really neat. And we found a spider in one of the rooms, and Jess didn't want to kill it, but wanted to get rid of it, so i got a cup from the closet, and we knocked it into the cup, and ran outside with it, and turned the cup upside down and then blew on the spider XD It was a riot--there was a pair of visitors going into the house across the street, and they were very amused by the live entertainment. . . but never came to see us! Probably for the best, because we had the glass barriers down and we busy. Still, odd.

So, if I could only understand the math topic, my life would be really good right now :D
