geekage :D
Feb. 7th, 2004 02:44 pmI love all of Julia Child's programs. Particularly "Cooking At Home With Julia and Jacques", but there's certainly nothing wrong with Julia Child: Cooking With Master Chefs. Yay public television! (I've said it before, and I'll say it again ;)
By the way, if any of you ever see The Amazing Screw-On Head, by Mike Mignola, in a store or anything, buy it immediately. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. :D It's hysterically funny and absolutely bizarre. A screw-on head, a butler named Mr. Groin, and Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln. As if that weren't enough, it also has three horrible women and a monkey. What more could you ask for? It's absolute loads of fun :)
Yesterday we made it to the mall, where me and Katie bought a yoga book. XD I'm enjoying it soooo much in dance, we figured we'd give it a whirl on our own. I'm horribly inflexible, though. Not to mention lazy. Anyway, yes. Hopefully we will have some success with a small amount of self-taught yoga.
I also got the latest issue of SciFi magazine. Mike's selling magazine subscriptions, maybe I should just look into subscribing. I keep ending up with it. This time it was due to an article on Hellboy, as well as the Top 25 Sexiest Women in SciFi. I still don't think I'd have gotten it if Amanda Tapping wasn't among those women. As well as Miranda Otto. Wooo! Two of my favorite women. ^_^ It was funny cos I was wearing my Hellboy shirt, and reading an article about the Hellboy movie.
Also an article about the Constantine movie. ::cries::
This was my first Saturday in a looooooong time that I didn't have anything to do or any reason to wake up early or anything! It was brilliant. I celebrated by staying up until 2:30 or so.
I don't have that much work, either. I have to write a story for french, and do 6 physics problems. I did have a dream that I didn't do the physics. O.o Then I had a dream that me and Katie had joined forces with the X-Men to fight an evil woman who first made and then destroyed an absolutely amazing cake. Actually, we didn't really fight her. Most of our time was spent looking for the icing, which had gotten smeared all over everywhere. Disgustingly enough, we just wiped it off whatever it had gotten onto, and put it back on to the cake. Which still would have been amazingly delicious--if the evil woman hadn't bown it up. :( I woke up disappointed.
By the way, has there been a difference in my online/livejournal voice? I feel kind of different in the way I'm expressing myself. Maybe I've been updating late at night too often? Do I sound different? It just seems that the journey between my brain and my fingers is doing different things to the words than it used to. I also feel strangely out of touch with people, even though I've been reading my friends page. Maybe I should try commenting more--I feel. . . I don't know. . . separated? It's weird, and rather less than pleasant. >.>
