Nov. 24th, 2003 06:08 pmGIP! Well, not really. I do have stuff to say. Although I might not get around to it, but I really wanted to show off my icon. I have 6 new ones (I got rid of an old one, and redid two others) and I loff them. This one's my favorite. The original is absolutely gorgeous. Although, actually, I may redo it if I can find a higher quality image. It's funny how the colors and everything completely change with different images that I find.
uhhh. Am so distracted. lol. I'm also writing my english essay at the same time. On All the Pretty Horses. Very good book, despite lack of punctuation. I've said this already.
I finished The Things They Carried!! (by Tim O'Brien, if anyone cares) It was due today, and I finished it. Awesome. I had 15 pages out of 246 read at 4:30 Sunday morning. I read until 6 and then I slept until 11 and then I read, uh. . . a lot during the day. XD I'm proud of myself.
The other two shows were fantastic! :D I can't wait until we get the DVD. Cos it was recorded and this year they are making DVDs! Yay! Not that I wouldn't have been equally excited about a tape, it's just kinda neat that we can get a DVD.
essay not going well.
uhh, apparently people find me (and Katie) intimidating. I just. . . wow. I find that really, really confusing. I'm so shy and everything. ::blinks:: Bizarre. (someone said that at Senior Cigar, and then someone else agreed with him, and then on Friday someone mentioned that she thought so too. . .) I'm really just totally confused.
On a potentially related note, I got a 95 on the english practice AP. Good--I got three questions wrong! Bad--she was giving everyone a curve based on rounding up the top grade to 100 (we've been through this before. I got in the 80s, other classes top grades in the 70s. . . or something like that). The curve in the other classes was 18 and 14. Luckily, she gave me a grade of 115, and gave everyone 20 points. Whew!
that's all I can think to say. The intimidating thing is so weird. Although it makes me feel a little better because now if people don't talk to me or something, which they don't, I guess I can figure that it's because they're intimidated by me and not because they don't like me. ??? ::sigh:: I had such a great day on Thursday, and then on Friday I just kind of decided I was sick of not fitting in and having only, like, 5 real friends. Uhh. . . 7? And then after that I've kind of getting back to normal. Except that I still remember Friday. Uhm. I don't know. O.<
Oh yeah! The girl in my gym class from Guinea who I've been speaking French to and stuff? Well, anyway, her English is really good. . . but that wasn't what I was going to say. I just found out today that she's almost 20! Cos apparently in Guinea girls don't start school until they're 8 years old (and boys at age 7). Which is really too bad for her because now she's three years behind! I had no idea, though. It's really wild! She's so nice, too :)
we watched a video today, and it had all sorts of people saying a few things, and k.d. lang spoke! AWESOME! :D I just kind of melted. I think everyone was a little confused. I think a fair number of people think I'm a lesbian. It shows more than the straightness, I think. I just don't know. I mean, about me.
by the way, you know how our show was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat? Well, I'm going to be tutoring the kid who played Pharoah! XD And my friend has a crush on him, so it's doubly amusing. We start a week from today. I'm relieved that I'm going to be tutoring someone I know.
