Hiya. I'm afraid I deleted a couple more friends. I am ruthless! lol. I don't think i've ever really deleted anyone who'll miss me. Maybe three times, and then I actually had, like, well, kinda better reasons. Cos now I just deleted people who I was never reading and wasn't close with. Before it's either been because they do something that totally creeps me out, or more often, their entries were really annoying me.
Anyway, in nicer news--addition to my redesign: background! it's a little different than I usually do, but I like it a lot. I think it looks elegant, and fits with the design. Yay photoshop! You wouldn't let me do concentric circles, but you have cool little auto-picture thingies!
Also, field trip to The Frick Museum was awesome! It is so drop dead gorgeous there. All the furniture, the rooms, and of course, the paintings! It was awesome. The "artist of the day" was François Boucher. (there was an exhibit on his charcoal and chalk and conté sketches, and there were a lot of his works in the collection--one room with all panels of little children doing adult things--I loved the blacksmith, and he was the only one they had a postcard of.) There were also some Turners, which was cool--one of Cologne, and I thought of
floria_del_guiz, but whenever they called it Cologne (cos they have this little phones, and you can put in the number of the picture they tell you about it. Everyone gets a little phone/walkie talkie thing to go around with) I was like, "why are you saying Cologne??" cos I'm used to hearing and saying Köln.
My general evaluation of the house is that there have to be secret rooms and passageways and stuff there! It's such a cool house.
I was really glad that dad came--we ended up getting dinner together. There was a pizza place next to a deli sort of place, and I don't like pizza so me and dad went to the deli/wraps place or whatever it was and got soup. I'm sorry, I'm not being very eloquent, or even comprehensible. It was a long day at Bethpage and I'm rather tired.
And after being separated for a while, me, Katie, Perin, Susan, and this other girl Eliza all joined forces. And we sat together on the train. It was great fun. Sue and Eliza are dancers, and they were telling me some stretches I could do, because I'm hideously unflexible.
Bethpage today. . . last day of the fair! I was a bar wench. And I finished my sleeve (of the sweater I'm crocheting) so I just have to do the back, the collar, and put everything together.
Next weekend I'm going to Smith (still dont' know what classes I'm visiting! meep!), but the weekend after that Allison is going to come over on Saturday and we're going to have a movie night and watch The Tall Blond Man With One Black Shoe and I'm going to see if Susan can come too, and then I'll show them both Hard Day's Night, and hopefully Allison will be able to spend the night and we can go to Bethpage together the next day. :D
Driving was good yesterday. ::yawns:: So tired. Must write about The Yellow Wallpaper now. Very cool story.
