friday friday friday
Update: still madly in love with both Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The word "sidekick" and the words "Sundance Kid" really don't go together. O.o
I went to sleep at around 9, and then woke up at 1, which is why I'm awake now at 3:30. I have a fair bit to do tomorrow, though. Including driving practice. Drivers Ed starts on Wednesday--although my first driving class isn't until next Saturday. Then I won't be able to stay up like this. Ah well. I hope I can balance driving and Bethpage, because I really want to keep doing that. Despite the freakishness of the pig's testicles. O_O
Anyway, I went to bed at 9, and Coupling is on at 10:30. But when I got up, i could not find a tape, there was nothing in the VCR! I don't think Katie taped it! Which is odd because we tape it every week. I hope something was done while I'm asleep! I already neglected Hetty Wainthrop on Wednesday. :( I think we may need to get some coupling DVDs. But I buy so much stuff already. I like something and immediately want to get it on DVD. ugh.
Someone's moving around upstairs. . .
I'm not sure if I mentioned this already, but I've rediscovered Diablo. Thanks to
meiran. Because I joined her Blizzard Fanlisting, and then I wanted to make myself a Diablo code (I made two today, Meiran, so I'll send them to you soon?) since that's the game I'm a biggest fan of (Diablo I and Warcraft II, actually), so I was looking at all pictures from it and stuff, and that made me really want to play it. And luckily I kinda accidentally downloaded the demo--except it should have the first three levels and it only has the first two, so, uhhh. . . But anyway, it's lucky that I found that because the Diablo CD is missing. I found the case in my brother's room, but no CD in it. And now it's a little awkward for me to make inquiries about the CD (which i'd actually already done, and he didn't even find the case, hence the need for me to take a look for myself) because, uhh, he caught me coming out of his room. So I guess I'm going to wait a little and then ask him to look. Katie suggested we just buy it again, but the thing is, I had a great character going there. I don't want to have to start over. I had the coolest fucking axe. I love that axe! I had a lot of great stuff. Axes are my weapon of choice. I don't like swords and shields so much. I like something big and heavy that I thwack people with. XD
First Academons meeting today! Woooo! Crappy advisor asked Katie if she'd mind sharing power with this total asshole kid, and she said yes, and if crappy advisor wanted to make the kid captain, then do so, but Katie would quit (and so would I). So HAH!! We had a good turnout--and I think there are going to be two more girls this year! Me and Katie have been the only girls since we joined. O_O Cos of crappy advisor--he's so gross, he drives the girls away. But he did help me write my essay in French (the class and the language) about stereotypes, so. . . Anyway. One of the girls wasn't at this meeting, but that's cos no one invited her. We saw her downstairs afterwards, in the music wing, and I asked her if she wanted to join and she seemed really interested. I believe that she knows a lot, too. I can't remember. I was talking to some of the more tentative members before we got started, hoping to kind of entice them ;) lol. Well, more just being friendly and welcoming. I was talking to two guys who'd come to one or two meetings last year, kind of sporadically. And one of them is also in the show, so we were talking about that, and about how disgusting crappy advisor is, and then I explained the competitions and everything to both of them. It's fun being assistant captain. I get to feel kind of authoritative. lol. Katie wanted to make a spiel so I was clapping my hands to get people's attention. I felt like a little school-teacher. "Children! Children! ::clap clap::" ;)
Also took yearbook pictures today. I waited for an hour and a half, which was actually much better than a lot of people, who were there for 3 or more hours. O_O The thing is, i only got the bare minimum of pictures taken--just the ones I needed for yearbook. 4 pictures. I went in there intending to have all of them, and then I saw how long it was taking and decided that it would be easier on everyone if I did as few pictures as possible. If everyone had taken fewer pictures, there wouldn't have been such a hold-up! I'm not saying take as few as I did, just less! Anyway. . . I missed my ninth period class--but my dance class was running the mile, so i wasn't too broken up over that. I may have to make it up though, which would suck. Still, at least I wasn't all sweaty for academons.
It was kind of too bad that I couldn't get any pictures done in my regular clothes, because I was wearing my cool tibetan shirt. I also had my hair done in coronet braids, but that will show in the yearbook picture. I liked the way it looks.
My sketchbook assignment for this week is to draw your hand in a position of tension--pulling, pushing, squeezing, something like that. The drawing should take about two hours, and you can use any medium you like. So I'm not sure what medium I want to do it in. I've been trying to decide, and I really don't know.
I had a timed writing in English today, too. Again, the class and the language. It was on a reading passage. I didn't quite finish, but that's not really important. Aside from that, I'm not sure how I did. The passage was kind of difficult to understand. But I can't remember the book or the author now. I certainly used specific references to back up my statement, if nothing else.
Other homework: must type some stuff up for english project and kind of make things sound a bit longer. Not really a problem.
must write essay on summer reading. not too bad, except I appear to have lost Orlando. Damnation.
