guingel: (Real Life)
hey! here I am to update! ::waves::

took the PSAT this morning. I think it went well. I definitely didn't get David's 1600 cos I didn't do 3 of the math questions on the first math part. ::shrug:: ah well! :D It's all good. Then I went home and slept til 4. it was nice. :) nice nice nice!

Mom and Katie are watching Top Hat (a Fred and Ginger movie). Fred's so cute!

Yesserday we went to Perin's house and played Monkey Island 3! (the curse of monkey island) We tried Gabriel Knight 1 and it wouldn't let us leave the house--it crashed. ::pouts:: I'm hoping we'll be able to try it again sometime and it'll work. :-/ But Monkey was a big hit! They've gotten themselves a strategy guide thing off-line and are up to blowing ships up and all the rhyming insult swordfighting. Katie is a bit disappointed though, because she wanted to play too, and we can't play them on our computer (did I mention that David left us the games?). Hopefully we'll be able to go over there and play them another time :)

lots of tests on friday, but I think they were fine also.

Oh, to update my last entry, the pumpkin-apple picking was fantastic! :D it was much, much fun. And I got 2 bee-ootiful pumpkins.

In sports medicine we did this jeopardy thing. On Friday we'd gone into groups to write the questions. We were the ligament group. Me, Katie, and two other girls. On Wednesday we played the game, and at first no one had chosen the ligament question and we had no points for a long time. But then, someone finally picked the ligament questions, and we got all of them! Then Katie got one of the cartilage questions (the answer--or should I say the question?-- was "what is arthritis?") and then in the bonus round we bet everything and got it! So even though we had no points for a long time, we won! it was good!

we watched a funny video in social studies. it was like. . . it was about the ratification of the (this funny designer guy in the movie just said "never again will I allow women to wear my dresses!!") consitiution--anti-federalists vs. federalists and what not. . . as if it'd happened today. So the press was covering it and everything. It wasn't as funny as the Chem Safety Video, but we were amused. Alexander Hamilton was amusing. He was a pretty-boy and he had shiny shoes.

And me and Katie have ordered ourselves a Buckler Hill McKay! Well, technically it's "A History of Western Society". It was our social studies textbook last year (same guy just said "I am no man! I am Bedini!!") and I developed a love-hate relationship with it (no he's saying "I will keel him for you!"). I didn't like the assignments, but I did love the class, and it makes me think of the class. And it's a pretty interesting textbook. It has character. And I keep wanting to look things up. And I want one. So, since it costs $97, we bought it from half.com for $11. This way if it turns out to be defective or something, we've just spent 11 bucks. I'm very excited to get it!! :D

Lots of lab write-ups to do this weekend. I got started and everything. ::beams::

edit: I updated my user info. hmm. it's kinda strange now, but it'll do for the time being ;)
