anyway, the wedding was fantastic!! :D I had such a good time. The ceremony in particular was wonderful, because the rabbi was a cousin of my aunt and dad. Rabbi Sarah. I think it's cool that she's a female rabbi. She's wonderful, too. So nice! And she did the service at Grandpa's funeral, which has stayed with me all this time. She mentioned him, and I know that that was when all of my family started to cry. I mean, I think I might have made it sound like we had a special bond, but we really didn't--because I was too stupid and too shy for most of his life. I love him very very very much, but he and Michelle (the bride) really had a special bond. She was his first grandchild, and since they lived in Brooklyn (and so did Grandpa and Grandma) they'd always go over there to see him, and take care of him. And I was just thinking how extremely proud and happy he'd have been to be at Michelle's wedding. Sarah told about when Grandpa met Matt, and I was really glad that he knew and liked him. (Matt is the groom, and he's so nice!!)
It was cool and fun being in the bridal party. :D I got to kinda feel like an insider ;) Although then at the reception I didn't dance. . . when it was partner type dancing there wasn't really anyone to dance with, and then when it wasn't. . . I don't know. Me and Katie were the youngest ones there and all, everyone else was in college (except for Mike, who's really tall and has a goatee so he passed for older) (mike was macking it, btw. or however that's spelled) and since Mike was out there I would have just felt like the little sister, which is a real pain in the ass, and then there's the fact that I can't dance. But then Mike disappeared with the other bridesmaid, and Kate, our cousin from England (the English relatives came over for the wedding) came to drag me and Katie on to the dancefloor. This was like, right before we left. Katie wouldn't go--she was tired and all--but I went :D And I did have a lot of fun--I like to dance, I'm just terrible at it, and I felt silly as the youngest and all. ::shrug:: But we danced and had a good time. I was feeling shy, and when I feel shy I want to put my hair over my face and all--it protects me--but I couldn't do that!! aack! So I just toughed it out. lol.
my hair had 39 bobby pins in it. O_O ugh. And I'm going to go take a shower now because it's disgusting and full of hairspray, and also, that's the only way I'd ever manage to untangle it. I actually took a picture with Mom right after I took it out, because she bought herself these 4 and a half inch heels (which is way out of character for her) and I was showing how tall she was -_-;; Cos i'm short. Ah well. So you'll see those, and there's like, 5 million pictures of me throughout the evening. . . and at the beauty parlor! half-way through! And I got Dad to take a picture of the back because it was wild.
K. Off to shower.
