well, I had a fantastic time today. best time I've spent with my friends in a very long time, I think.

I'll kinda skip to the chase. we were hanging after school, which was fun because Keith was able to chill for a while before Drivers Ed. And I haven't hung with Keith since god knows when--I've barely spoken to him. And then we were lying outside in the sun at school for a while, which was a lot of fun. And then Perin was tired so she decided to take the 4:30 bus home. And me and Katie and Em decided to go to Em's house. So we chilled and played keep-it-up with a beachball, and then at around 6 Katie went back to the high school to see if David had gotten out of rehearsal and bring him back.

So in the meantime, me and Emily decided to keep ourselves busy. We had found some [you know what? this entry isn't going to reflect the good time I had because there's this really upsetting bad movie about a white supremacist going on in the background. I think I'll plug in my headphones and see if I can drone it out] bubble fluid, you know, the soapy stuff for blowing bubbles? But we couldn't find a wand. This was problematic. So we decided to make wands! :D We searched the house for materials we could use and found nothing. Then we went back to Emily's room, and she saw one of those bags that have twine-y kinda handles? And she asked if maybe we could make something out of that. And then she came up with idea that we could try using straws. and then I came up with idea that we could twist the twine around and stick it into the straws to make a circle, and use that! And then we wrapped strips of plastic bag around them to waterproof them a little more.
And you know what? They worked!! :D It was so cool! I didn't really expect them to work, but they did, and very well! We had to add sink soap and some water to the bubble fuild, so sometimes we had a little problem with that, but it was fine and we were able to futz with the dosage to make it work right ;)

Anyway, so that was really hot. I have one of the wands XD Em threw them out! lol. Although they were like, soggy from the soap-soup. we had to rinse it off, and it's still sticky. But anyway, Katie returned with David and we showed them the bubble wands, but Dave couldn't stay for long. ah well. then we had some noodles and stuff for dinner, and then Mike D. showed up. (he had been planning to stop by with donuts before we knew that we were coming over, so he only had two but he handled it really well and all.) In fact, on occasion Mike can drive me absolutely wild. Crazy. But today he was really sweet and nice and great. I mean, he's a great kid--really nice--but sometimes he can just be so stupid, and sometime's he'll feel more sorry for himself than is good for him. Although I suppose we all have things we need and want, so while some people in my situation would be upset at it, I have the things I need, so I can be happy. I guess if I was missing something I really cared about (like how some people are about being in a relationship) I'd feel bad too. But anyway, we had a great time with Mike. He'd brought his whole set of Evangelion DVDs, so I was looking through them (the covers, not the DVDs themselves, you know) and we talked about NGE. Which was fun. And then we called Perin, and it turned out she could come over! So we went into the front yard and did some more bubbly stuff, and then we went back to the back yard. and when it was 8:30 Katie and Emily went downstairs and went onto AIM and David was there, so they asked if he could come over, and he could! :D So we were all playing keep-it-up, and it was a lot of fun :D (except that Emily's little brother wouldn't leave us alone--the only problem of the day) And then we stopped cos we all got tired and we sat and talked. Only Ross (little brother) wouldn't leave us alone! So we started having an argument about what to do about him, only so he didn't understand we couldn't speak in English. Mike can speak French and Spanish, so I was arguing with him in French, and Emily and Perin in Spanish. lol. Cos we wanted rid of him, and Mike wanted to let him stay. so eventually we got Mike to go and sacrifice himself (meep!) and distract Ross, and hopefully come back soon. In the end Emily had to go and get him. I think it was way wrong of her parents to let him do that. gyaah! (actually, I'm sitting here on the computer while Mike's friends watch a movie, but I'm not even watching the movie with them, nor am I saying anything. I am clicking loudly at the keyboard, but. . .)

Anyway. loads and loads of fun! :D Just a really good time. it was fun because we spent most of it outside, and I dont' spend enough time outside, and Emily's got a great back lawn--i mean, we could walk around barefoot and it was all soft and squishy and no rocks or anything. and because I haven't blown bubbles in too long, or played ball and stuff. very cool. :D

gonna be a busy weekend though. soddit.
