DO YOUR ICONS MAKE A STATEMENT: Um, they make a statement about my fandoms. I think right now they say, "I wish I had more comic book friends," actually. >.> They also say, "I feel Shackletonian." Sometimes literally.
WHAT FANDOM DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: 16 general comic book ones, 30 general JE, of which 17 are TOKIO (including the chops pictures and ones with V6 in them)
WHAT SHIP DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: It's Sho/Nino, with two icons. That's a coincidence because I happen to find this one hilarious, but it's actually my current favorite Arashi ship, and one of my favorite JE ships (along with Okada/Ken and Sakamoto/Kamisen and Yoko/Hina and Yoko/Ryo.)
ARE YOUR ICONS MADE MOSTLY BY OTHER PEOPLE: Nope. I don't have anything against it, I just like making icons so much that I want to use mine, even if they aren't particularly good. I guess it also feels nice to use something I've made to represent me. Right now I think I only have one icon that I didn't make.
DO YOU MAKE ICONS: Yes. XD I find it really relaxing. It's creating, but it's not as stressful as drawing.
ARE THEY ANY GOOD: Not particularly. They work fine and they aren't fugly but I can't do anything fancy. Mostly it's about proportion and visibility for me, all sizing issues. I occasionally mess with the color as well but I'm lame so things lose contrast when I save. I probably worked the hardest on this Ohno-Jun one because they were really far apart and it was even more difficult to tell what's going on than it is now. So that took a lot of work. And this superman is a dick icon was a little tough because I ended up wanting the text at a larger proportion than the rest of it, so it was legible.
ANIMATED ICONS ARE: I really don't like them. I tend to try to scroll to a point where I can't see them moving. On the other hand, if done well, they can be used to great comic effect.
I'm meeting a potential roommate for lunch today. Someone I already know so it's more of a "how've you been, let's discuss things further" than an initial screening or anything. If I meet one more person who wants to save money for grad school I'm going to vomit.
