Shawshank is an incredible movie. It's also one of my English teacher's favorites, but she got confused at first because the Japanese title is "Shawshank to the Sky." I guess "Redemption" doesn't really translate - our stupid electronic dictionaries have only a really simplistic definition, so I tried to explain that it doesn't have to be a religious term. Another teacher wanted to know why the original title to "Stand by Me" is "The Body." I'm surprised Stephen King is so popular over since a lot of his wordplay must get lost in translation.
