Emily came over for a bit. we wanted to get a couple of our comic books back before vacation, and she wanted her Princess Mononoke back (::sniffles::)

Oh my. A voice outside the window just said "gesundheit" when I sneezed. Actually, Katie is wandering around out there but because it's dark I can't see her.

David is being insulting.
And I'm rather sore at both of them. I mean, not angry, just a little down. I was asked if I'd like to go to David's this afternoon (yesterday). And I answered affirmatively. Although technically I said if I can get enough of my packing done. Well, Katie left at 12. I woke up at 12:10. No note, nothing. In fact, I woke up to an empty house. Anyway, I ended up not going to David's, and no one's really at fault (probably me, but whatever, as long as I'm not blaming anyone else) but I still felt kinda down. whatever. I'm ignoring him now.

I've lost my hairbrush. I cannot think where it could be. gyaah. I think there's a replacement on the back of the toilet in the bathroom that I can use though.

circled in red is the cabin that we're staying at this year. Lakeside. Although Lakefield is my favorite, Lakeside is nice too. We've never stayed there, but friends have. I've also stayed in Balsam, Applewood, Iron and Bass, and Rocky Nook, and I've been in Fernwood, Wildwood, Beechwood, Cherrywood, and Rockwood. (when friends stayed in them) And of course, Playwood. Playwood is the size of two ping-pong tables. Roughly. There's a ping-pong table on classide, and foosball (fuseball? ph00zball?) and on the other side there's a TV and a bunch of random decrepit chairs and couches, and bookshelves with some videos and a bunch of books. The TV is only for watching videos.
The proportions and distances and what-not are kinda off on this map, but close enough.
I can't wait :D

I'm hoping things will be good with the other kids. If they're not I'll be fine, but like, me and Katie aren't that athletic, and sometimes there'll be these jappish types there. I don't mind if I don't fit in, I've really come into myself a lot this year, I think, but it's fun when you can make friends. I hope things will be ok with Allie (an old friend from LLL that we haven't seen in a bit). I hope she hasn't grown like, away from us. We're kinda weird and unique, I think. I'd hate it if our friendship died.

but I have fun at LLL no matter what. I love the cabins, and I love swimming, even if I do it alone or with my mom, and I love boating. i love relaxing outside and on the "beach", and I kinda like having a break from the computer. I say "beach" because there's this whole lawn thing, and then steps that lead down to the water, and maybe a foot at most of sand. One year--the best year I've ever had a LLL--it was really rainy, and the water level was mad crazy high, and some of the steps were submerged, the water was covering the bottom of the rocks (cos there's this little rock wall up from the beach type of thing.). And the big dock out in the deep water was totally submerged, and they had to put a rowboat on it to keep it from floating away. So when you were out on the dock you could sit in the rowboat, and there was some water in there, and the water was always warm. It was awesome. That year I must have been exactly the right age, because the whole place was swarming with kids my age. I met some great people, who I've unfortunately not stayed in touch with. We had fun :D Because of the high water level, one of the long, skinny docks came loose, and we'd all stand on it and start tipping it around, and sliding people from one end to the other. And 4 of us (katie didn't really participate--she's not a "water baby") went out in this tiny white rowboat--prolly made for two people--and we rowed through some reeds on the other side of the lake, and we all jumped out, and had serious difficulties getting back in, and we were gone for 3 hours and eventually parents were sent out to get us. XD Much fun, although I think I got a little hysterical at the end. ::sigh:: I was an annoying little kid ;) well. I could have been worse.

I'm going to have a lot of webcomics to catch up on when I get back ::grin::
Don't expect me to catch up on all of your entries though ;) lol. soz. Glad I don't have any forums at the moment. Although I will have to check in with [livejournal.com profile] impromanga, I suppose.

Anyway. I'm really looking forward to going up there, it's absolutely fantastic. Although I'm rather dreading the car ride! 6 hours!! Hopefully I'll sleep at some point.

Crap, I've taken off my watch. Knowing me I'll lose that too!!

OK. This is it! I won't be here for 2 weeks. I'll miss you guys! (although it'll be a relief not to be worrying about keeping up with things online and what-not. I need to be forced to do something else, and to spend some time outside!!)

Miss me ;)

update: have found my brush and my watch! :D w00t!

Yay!!! You'll be on 93 up to Concord... I'm going up to Mt. Washington today (also on 93 but way past Concord).

Bumper stickers on my car: "I collect license plates," "Discourage Inbreeding: Ban Country Music," "Hang up and Drive!" "Jesus Loves You, Everyone else thinks you're an asshole," "Ithaca is Gorges," "NH," and "Cornell University." Can't miss it if you see it.

I had someone on a cell phone on the highway yesterday look at me with a huge grin on his face as he passed, pointing at the cell phone. I flipped him off. :) [ I am real adamantly against using cell phones while driving. ]

It was great! :D Except for some health problems which will be explained later, and hopefully cleared up tomorrow. I missed you guys, but it was kinda neat having a break from the computer. The keyboard and everything feels really weird now. I'm going to have to try to cut down and read more, I really enjoyed just relaxing these 2 weeks.

awww, I missed your comment :( dag.

I just found out that not only can you not see through the tinted windows in the back seats of our car (which I'd known) you also cn't see through the rear windshield! All my rude gestures have been wasted! O_O

Although a couple days ago when we were driving around in Hanover we were next to this guy talking on his cell phone and I yelled at him, kinda quietly (so I didn't scare my dad into an accident) and through 2 closed windows, and all of a sudden he shut the cell phone with a confused kinda look on his face! Very strange. But amusing.
