It's my fake birthday, yaaaay!! Feb 10. :) Invented because my house at Smith puts up signs for people on their birthdays in the hallways, telling everyone to wish them a happy birthday and stuff like that, and my actual birthday is in July so those people get theirs up at another time. It's supposed to be the half birthday, which is silly because the half birthday for July is in January, when Smith isn't in session. And it's not even a month off, because that's my friend's birthday and she didn't want to share. XD (I didn't want to share either!)
I didn't celebrate it last year because I was away from Smith, but sophomore year my friends made me the best birthday signs ever. There were gnomes, there were west wing characters, there was Jimmy, which is my nickname. . . I can't remember what all else, but I still have them. :D I had my own little section of hallway, I was in a corner of the building totally separated from everything else (in this little room, which I adored!) and since my friends were in charge of the signs, they put them up all over my hallway and it was so awesome.
Anyway, today I'm celebrating by having wine and cupcakes! Cupcakes are a Laura's Fake Birthday tradition. The wine is because we're seniors and all seniors in my house are hosting a Senior Wine and Cheese. It's really nice because we all get a long. I mean, we've only had one so far, but it was nice. :D I'm doing mine with friend Steph, and we decided to replace cheese with cupcakes. >.>
Yesterday we went wine shopping, which was hilarious. Cos we don't know diddly about wines. So the store guy was trying to help us, but he was asking us, like, "Would you like a Swedish wine? Something robust?" sort of questions and they did NOT help. XD He overestimated us a bit. Anyway, they were having a little wine tasting, so we both tried stuff and liked it and got that. And I got tipsy. Cos I wasn't spitting stuff out. But I only had a tiny bit. Maybe I should concentrate on the sparkling cider (bought because some people aren't alcohol drinkers, or wine drinkers, plus it's DELICIOUS) tonight. XD Oh, and I got to use my new ID for the first time. It features zombie!Laura. Woo!

Also, why I like Sakamoto. OK, a lot of reasons, but right now it's because he has a fetish for being called sempai. EXCELLENT. SERIOUSLY. SAKAMOTO, YOU WIN.
Ah, this isn't in the spirit of the entry and I'm sorry for tucking it away like this, but i've been thinking about it for a while - I'm doing a defriending amnesty day. If you discover you rue having me on your friends list, now is the time to act - no questions asked, just go for it. I wanna feel comfortable with my friends list, and I leave things unlocked so you could have checked out my tone and frequency before friending, but if you didn't do so, or discover I don't meet expectations, or you don't like my commenting habits or wish I'd cut things more or anything like that, shoo!
edit: Am watching the Jani-Ben with KABA. . . am I the only one sort of really amused by the fact that Ryo is wearing a New York Dolls cap here? Awesome. XD Also, Hina in that hoodie is just awash in a massive sea of cuteness. And I finally watched Eito's live show and it was AMAZING! They're so, so amazing and I'm just totally in love with Yoko. :D
