Katie is safely at our cousin's house in Blanc-Mesnil, a suburb of Paris. I am so relieved! But I also miss her a lot already.
Still, I leave for Smith on Thursday, so that will prevent me from getting too lonely. And mom and I watched an episode of Secret Agent tonight. There was a crazy woman, and communists. It was very exciting.
I'm quite nervous about my own flight. And my packing. But everything went really smoothly today.
Also, I've been trying to play Diablo as the Sorceror for the first time and doing a really bad job of it. Very sad!
Annette (our cousin) called as soon as they got home to let us know Katie was all right. It was 8:30 Paris time, but 2:30 here. So when I heard the phone ring, first I was just totally confused. "Is that the phone? At 2:30?" But then I realized it must be Katie and I leaped out of bed! But Dad picked up in my parents' room, so I stood in the hall and eavesdropped. I'm really glad I knew everything was ok before I went to sleep. Last night, I think I was tense all night. I woke up so tense, my shoulders hurt.
